The Lord Is My Shepherd
Blessed Jesus Lord and Master,
Who my soul came to redeem;
In the sheep field let me pasture,
By the living water stream.

Mayhap dangers o’ft like hidden,
Yet he cares for me his lamb;
So I go where he has bidden,
He sends comfort where I am.

Surely goodness shall go with me,
As I climb life’s rugged path:
For where ore life’s perils be,
In the storm or ways of wrath,

He has trod the pathway even,
Going to the gates of death;
So I’m trusting and I’m lovin’
All life’s hopes and even breath.

Let me never stray or wander,
But stay closely by his side;
When I rise to heavens grandeur,
Be thou still my shepherd guide.

Till heavens Canaan I behold,
And see Jesus my great king;
With Angels and with harp of gold,
By that living water spring.
